Yew House is located in the Sussex town of Crowborough, making it an ideal centre for visiting the Ashdown Forest and the High Weald (an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) and also famous for its Whinnie the Pooh connections: Hundred Acre Wood, Pooh sticks bridge featured in the A.A. Milne stories are quite near.

It is a detached property with a range of well appointed rooms: a four poster bedroom with large double shower en suite; a double bedroom with en suite; a double bedroom with dedicated bathroom; and a large flexible twin bedroom with dedicated shower room (not en suite) - this room can be configured into a single, twin, or triple. All rooms are covered by wi-fi.

Owner Robert Stewart says Yew House has been built with as many green and eco- friendly features as possible: low wattage lighting circuits, water efficient devices, central heating with individual thermostats on all radiators, heat reflective double glazing and a high degree of insulation.

Towels and bedding are changed on request rather than daily to save detergents and water. He tries recycle as much as possible.

He has planted about 14 trees in and around the property, mulched most of the garden with recycled wood chips to conserve water and used old railway sleepers to hold back banks.

Yew House has received a Gold award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
