• personality, style and charm
We rely on our own professional research plus recommendations by other writers, hoteliers and guests. A number of the places listed have won environmental awards or belong to accreditation schemes. We have personally visited some, by prior arrangement, to discuss their environmental policies and practices and to tour the premises. These are indicated. We plan to go to many more. Our visits are not inspections.
