green holidays made easier
Step into another world, based in a valley not far from the North Cornwall coast.
The tipis are constructed along authentic Native American lines of both unbleached and coloured canvas. These visually stunning and surprisingly spacious structures often reach over 18 feet in height and 20 feet or more inside. Groundsheets and rugs cover the floor and lanterns hang from the poles.
Accommodation consists of medium tipis sleeping 3 and larger tipis sleeping 6. They are offered in two different types of location: either in the community space of the village field or separately in spacious private clearings. The latter include some double sites where friends or family wish to be together.
Cooking equipment, cool boxes and a camp stove plus cutlery, crockery and sleeping mats are provided. There are purpose built toilets and hot showers. Woods and a lake for swimming, boating and fishing are on site.
This is a real “back to nature” family based holiday with an authentic flavour of camping as it used to be.
The tipis are located in a former quarry, now a wildlife haven with many varieties of wild flowers, buzzards and rabbits. They are built using natural materials with a framework of locally sourced lodge poles.
Heating for the showers is solar powered.
