Description

Beech Hill Farm is an organically run 20 acre small farm with Rare Breed Sheep in the Sussex High Weald, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It also has an artistic impulse: owner Julia Desch is a practising watercolour painter and poet.

It offers self catering accommodation in The Coach House and The Studio Sanctuary.

The Coach House, an 18th century converted cottage, sleeps 2/3 people and is self-contained, with separate entrance, car parking and garden.

The Studio Sanctuary is a secluded rural retreat set down a quiet track with space for rest, recreation, rehearsal and much more. There is open space, a kitchen area, shower and sleeping space. Its dimensions are is 40' X 16', with chestnut floor and natural acoustics and it can be used for rehearsals and master classes.


Green features 

Nature leads the way at Beech Hill Farm and owner Julia Desch has a deep commitment to the environment and organic methods. The farm supports other local organic enterprises through numerous networking and volunteering initiatives. When possible organic produce is offered to visitors.

It is a Host Farm under the WWOOF Scheme, a worldwide network in which bed and board and learning opportunities are provided in exchange for voluntary work.

Energy efficiency and recycling are practised and promoted. It has a Green Tourism Business Scheme gold award and further recognition for its rain harvesting scheme and for its efficient use of resources.
