The Apex European Hotel is near Murrayfield Stadium, Haymarket Station and many other landmarks in the West End of Edinburgh and within easy reach of the city’s main shopping, entertainment and business districts.

Part of a small independent hotel group it has 66 contemporary Standard and Executive rooms all with widescreen TVs, DVD players and en suite bathrooms with walk-in power showers.

Metro West End Brasserie and Café Bar is on the ground floor and serves a la carte, fixed price and kids’ menus.
 

GREEN CREDENTIALS                                                                                                

The Apex group of hotels has rapidly become admired in the trade for its company-wide environmental policy. It has a green team headed by an Environmental Director based in Edinburgh and a Green Champion in each hotel. All staff members are briefed on these measures and environmental audits and spot checks are conducted with the scores going towards their bonus scheme. Like its sister hotels the Apex European was designed to incorporate a range of energy efficient features.

The hotel aims to use eco-friendly chemicals, to purchase recycled goods wherever appropriate, recycle a range of materials, and monitor and reduce energy consumption. Customers are offered the chance to carbon offset weddings, conferences and other events with Climate Care.

In 2006 the hotel received the Gold award in the Keep Edinburgh Clean Awards.   Notably, along with many other accolades it has been awarded Gold in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
